Efektivitas Aplikasi Chillfy : Terapi Mindfullness terhadap Tingkat Stress pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Matematika Universitas Sam Ratulangi

Background : Academic stress is one of the most common psychological problems experienced by university students, which can negatively affect concentration, learning motivation, and psychological well-being. Objective : This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the Chillify application as a mindfulness-based therapy medium in reducing stress levels among students of the Mathematics Study Program at Sam Ratulangi University. Methods : This research used a quasi-experimental design with a time series design with control group. A total of 32 sixth-semester students were selected using purposive sampling and divided into two groups: experimental and control. The experimental group received two mindfulness interventions using the Chillify application, which includes features such as guided meditation, deep breathing relaxation, and a mindfulness journal. Result : The results of the Repeated Measures ANOVA showed a significant decrease in stress levels in the experimental group (p = 0.000), while no significant change was observed in the control group (p = 0.199). Conslusion : The Chillify application is proven to be effective as a non-pharmacological intervention for managing academic stress. It is recommended that educational institutions utilize technology-based applications like Chillify for regular stress screening and to support students in managing stress independently and flexibly.
