Abstract

Background: Reproductive health is a critical issue in society, including the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and family planning. Condoms, as a male contraceptive, serve a dual function in preventing pregnancies and STIs. However, their usage remains low among public transport drivers, particularly at the Malalayang Terminal, Manado. Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge level and the use of male contraceptives (condoms) among public transport drivers. Methods: This study employed a descriptive-analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 86 public transport drivers selected using a consecutive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: A total of 73.26% of respondents had good knowledge about condoms, only 12.79% used them. Bivariate analysis showed a p-value of 0.157 (p > 0.05). Conclusion: The analysis results indicate no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and condom use.
